User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:130.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/130.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Open up any Google Docs document.
- Try to scroll a bit, highlight some text, or hover the mouse on headers in general.
Here's an example link for a document that frequently broke for me when trying to manipulate it:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1r9xFSphzBw8a7qXmPw0fy0RE-e7xgEv6dBrOu3NPS5U/edit
Actual results:
The text on the document completely glitched out, making the document effectively unreadable.
Expected results:
The scrolling and highlighting should function normally.

Trying moving to a text related component, although this might be more related to graphics.
Can you attach the raw text from your about:support?

Could you please attach a screenshot showing an example of what the garbled display looks like? Thanks.
It seems like the bug is no longer present after updating so I cannot provide an example at the moment. However in case that it re-appears here's a reddit thread with a video which roughly showcases what used to happen:

That looks to me like it was some kind of graphics issue, rather than anything text-related; moving this to the Graphics component. But it sounds like maybe the problem has been resolved, perhaps in a recent update?
After some updates the issue has returned. However setting gfx.canvas.accelerated to false in about:config fixes it for the time being. The imgur link shows a segment of a Google Docs document with text and graphics completely scrambled.
Current version of firefox: 131.0.3

Can you try going to about:config and setting these two prefs?
widget.dmabuf.enabled = false
gfx.canvas.accelerated = true
I think this is the same issue as Bug 1907828 and it would be helpful to confirm if so :)

Redirect a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user to the triage owner.
:bhood, since the bug has recent activity, could you have a look please?
For more information, please visit BugBot documentation.
Unfortunately I cannot provide further information because I recently uninstalled CachyOS from my PC
