User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:132.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/132.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Open a new Firefox window

Notes:

  • Gnome 46 on Fedora 40
  • Wayland windowing platform
  • Firefox Developer Edition 132.0b1
  • Using English (Australia) as my language and region
  • I do not have any right-to-left languages installed on my system
  • Even if I did, having Firefox changing my layout without my permission would be very frustrating

Actual results:

  • The refresh and new tab buttons vanish in all windows
  • The forwards and back buttons move from the left-hand side to the right-hand side of the interface in the new Window
  • The extensions menu moves from the right-hand side to the left-hand side of the interface in the new Window

Expected results:

The window keeps my chosen layout.
