Steps to reproduce:
- Open Firefox Developer Edition (132.0b4) Mac OS Ventura (13.6.9)
- All Bookmarks in Toolbar are missing
- Right clicking on toolbar > Bookmarks Toolbar > Always Show, is checked
- This began for me when updating to 132.0b2
- I see reports this issue has been fixed, however it is not fixed in the Developer Edition
Actual results:
Blank Toolbar. All bookmarks are still there under Bookmarks > Bookmarks Toolbar
Expected results:
Bookmarks should be in toolbar

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Bookmarks & History' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
UPDATE: I was able to get my bookmarks to reappear. I am sharing this as I haven't seen the solution in other threads. Before I do, I wanted to say that the update 132.0b2 knocked out all of the following: Bookmarks, All Extensions that had been added to the toolbar and All Customizations to the toolbar, and lastly, the + sign to the right of an open tab. If you know how to get that + sign back I would really appreciate that!
Ok, here's what I did to get all of my bookmarks back in the toolbar:
- Right clicked in the Toolbar section that is above where all of the Toolbar Bookmarks were > Customize Toolbar
- Drug 'Bookmarks Toolbar Items' up to the 'Overflow Menu'
- See screenshot
Nevermind. I was able to get the new tab + sign back up. Thank you all for what you do.

This is a duplicate of bug 1919721.
If you are still encountering issues, you might want to use "Reset defaults" in Customize toolbar to get out of the broken state, then customize items again.
