Steps to reproduce

  1. Navigate to a page that contains a text fragment ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_power#:~:text=Most,decreases )
  2. Tap on 3 dots menu -> "Translate page" option
  3. Select a language to translate the text into and tap on the “Translate” button from the down-right corner.

Expected behavior

The page is successfully translated, the text fragment disappears, and the text is no longer highlighted.

Actual behavior

The page is not translated, the specified text fragment is highlighted and the page is scrolled to the highlighted section.

Device information

Firefox version: Nightly 133.0a1 and Firefox 132.0b4
Android device model: Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T (Android 11) , Asus Zenfone 9 ( Android 13)

Additional information

We were able to reproduce this issue on certain devices (Asus Zenfone 9 - Android 13 - intermittent, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T - Android 11, and possibly others)
We couldn't reproduce this issue on Samsung Galaxy S24 (Android 14), Motorola G9 plus (Android 11), Google Pixel 7 Pro ( Android 14)

I was able to reproduce this issue on a Vivo V23 (Andorid 14) device, on all Firefox for Android versions: 137.0, Beta 138.0b4, and Nightly 139.0a1.
