User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0
Steps to reproduce:
Ran my old installed SeaMonkey v2.53.18.2 (User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0 SeaMonkey/2.53.18.2)'s internal software updater in an old 13" 2012 Intel MBP's updated macOS Mojave v10.14.6.
Actual results:
Either result will occur:
- "No Updates Found -- There are no updates available. SeaMonkey will check periodically for updates."
- "Update Failed -- There were problems checking for, downloading, or installing this update. SeaMonkey could not be updated because: Connection timed out. You can update SeaMonkey manually by visiting this link and downloading the latest version: https://www.seamonkey-project.org/". See attached screen shot/capture file.
Expected results:
SM should find the newer version for me to download and install/update with its internal software updater.
FYI. I'll keep this older SM version installed so I can test my update if it gets fixed, need logs, etc. Also, my old SM works fine on the Internet so it's not my Internet connection. Even other PCs, with Debian and 64-bit W10 Pro., had no issues with internal updaters over a month ago.
I don't know if this is related to my macOS Mojave v10.14.6 issue, but my 64-bit W10 Pro. PC's updated SM v2.53.19 (User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0 SeaMonkey/2.53.19) shows "Connection timed out" error after reading https://old.reddit.com/r/seamonkey/comments/1fdn836/is_anyone_else_having_problems_connecting_to/lraw25p/ (FishRelevant6992 said "I get an error 500 :-(").
Now, I get "Connection timed out" errors to see I can finally see and download this update. :(
