This test has a unique and useful structure (you can search for the test name to see other tests that copy it) so I have an interest in not seeing it disabled anywhere. I debugged the macosx15 failures that bug 2001881 disabled this test for.

We open a new tab with a content html page to run the test. When this happens the documents etc get created in the content process and initially they get a zero sized container (the docshell size, which goes to the document viewer, and then to the prescontext and presshell, and then the frames get reflowed into that size). Then when the subdocument frame in the parent process containing the tab gets reflowed and gets a size that size is sent from the parent process to the child process and the content document gets its expected size. I found that it was possible to have the load event fire and do a regular (non-paint suppressed) paint of the content document while it still has zero size and hasn't yet resized its correct positive size from the parent process. I didn't see any mechanism in place to make the load event of the content document not race getting a proper non-zero size, but perhaps I missed it. The test gets the rect of an element after the load event and uses that rect to snapshot the page. When the page is reflowed into a zero sized container then that element is also zero sized, and the test doesn't expect zero sized images so it fails. If I made us wait for one requestAnimationFrame in either the parent or the child after the openNewForegroundTab call then that fixed the issue.

I also found that this patch https://hg-edge.mozilla.org/integration/autoland/rev/8d3ee250b0b5984c29e94667e30b3e28cd1d94be fixed the test shortly after it was disabled.

So I'm going to post a patch to re-enable this test on macosx15: if it starts failing again we want to know about it I think.
