(Whiteboard: WONTFIX?)

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030208 Phoenix/0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030208 Phoenix/0.5 I think it would make more sense to put the status bar woth the big toolbar on top. This'll make me look at one area rather than move my eyes up and down. Also easier to identify if a pop up has appeared. Or you could make the statue bar draggable. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Are you serious? What standard software puts the statusbar on top? I can tell you right now, this will never be implemented, and even if you file a rfe for this as an OPTION, it will still never be implemented. Maybe you should ask in the forums if someone could make this an extension.

Can't you just make it an option, like in Opera, status bar:off, top, bottom?

Did you just reopen your own bug? Don't you think there's a reason why this bug was marked WONTFIX?

re comment #3: djst, if there is a valid reason why this should *not* be implemented as an option as in other programs, why dont you tell us? Just stating this is WONTFIX is not very helpful to users requesting a feature. Flexible bars are part of several programs and the requestor has made a valid usability point. The fact that e.g. MS programs do not allow this is not a valid argument against it.

Adding myself to cc. Does anything need to be done to have this ability has an extension (i.e. any hooks etc to be added)? (Not that I would be writing such an extension, but asking before I mention this on the forums.)
