The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Win32' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
Problem resolved as this issue was due to 32-bit update of 131.0.3 from a 131.0.2 32-bit Firefox being applied to a 64-bit Windows 10 system. Previous 32-bit updates had worked fine. Switched to the 64-bit 131.0.3 Firefox and all is good and working as expected.

Was this an automatic update that broke Firefox? 32-bit-to-32-bit automatic upgrades should still work on x64 systems, I believe.

Yes, it was an automatic update. I was surprised that 131.0.3 came out so quickly (two or three days?) after 131.0.2 was released.
I tried several things involving Firefox - always get "Error: Platform version "131.0.3" is not compatible with minVersion >= 131.0.2 maxVersion <= 131.0.2"
- Tried launching Firefox, get the above error msg, no launch.
- Tried UNINSTALLING Firefox, get the above error msg, can not UNINSTALL it.
Firefox 64bit is dead in the water from your latest update.
Please advise.

Ah, I've misread comment #0 — this isn't a new issue but the "something killed Firefox in the middle of an update" issue. Reinstalling Firefox should fix everything. (It shouldn't be necessary to uninstall it first, nor to switch architectures.)
Closing as DUPLICATE.
