When sending headers for a file download, the filename is displayed incorrectly
in the save file dialog box. For instance, the headers below are sent from a
file name index.php:
Content-Type: application/octet-stream
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=text.doc
The resulting filename in the save dialog would be "text.doc.php". If the
Content-Type header is not sent, then the filename becomes "text.doc.html".
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Send header: Content-Type: application/octet-stream
2. Send header: Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=myfile.txt
3. Click OK to save the file to disk
Actual Results:
Filename in save dialog box is displayed as "myfile.txt.php", or
"myfile.txt.html" if the Content-Type is not sent.
Expected Results:
The filename should have been displayed as "myfile.txt".
This has only been tested using PHP 4.1.2.
