User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/BeatnikPad Chimera/0.6+ Build Identifier: Flash pages are loading okay, but I'm noticing a LOT of crashes when I try to use the Back button to back out of a site that uses Flash. I'm running Build ID: 2003020707, but I've noticed this for about the last two weeks or so of builds. Stack trace attached. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Follow this link: http://www.seeksci.com/ 2. Stare agape at the horrible flash design 3. Try backing out with the back button to come back to the bugzilla page. Navigator should crash on you (I think).

a) What revision of Flash are you running? b) Does it happen with a newer or older revision? c) Does it reproduce in Seamonkey Mach-O or CFM?
(edited the summary to more closely reflect what's happening) Okay, I'm had three crashes in a row on flash pages, specifically on the Macromedia DevNet pages (http://www.macromedia.com/desdev/subscriptions/index.html) - if I click around these pages I get a crash usually on the second or third page load. Stack is the same as the attached from the original opening of the bug. 1. Flash Version 6.0r67 2. Running Build ID: 2003020707 - just started noticing these crashes in nightlies from around a week, maybe 10 days ago. 3. Is Seamonkey Mozilla? If that's the case, my single test seemed to work okay, Mozilla Build# 2003021017.
Summary: Getting a lot of crashes when backing out of Flash pages → Getting a lot of crashes on Flash pages
Here's a test case that I can reproduce every time: 1. Go to http://www.weather.ca/ 2. In the flash map of Canada, click on Toronto (close to bottom-righthand corner of the map, for those non-Canadians). 3. The map will zoom in. Click on Toronto again (appr. in the middle of the map, along the left hand side of the Great Lakes). 4. An HTML page will load (http://www.weather.ca/cities/can/Toronto_ON.htm, and as the page is almost finished loading Navigator will crash with the same stack as was attached initially. Going directly to the page doesn't induce a crash - it's only if I follow these steps. I hope this helps!
WorksForMe using Chimera/2003021707 to execute the steps in comment 4. Neil, does TalkBack run after these crashes?

It does, but I turned it off after the third or fourth time. Is there anything from Talkback that I should include here?
One or two report IDs would be good. You should re-enable TalkBack, though. The more reports, the better.
I just wanted to confirm that I'm not seeing this behavior with recent builds of Mozilla. Also, I tried wiping Chimera / Flash from my system and reinstalling, but that didn't fix the problem.
It looks like the lates Flash player (6.0 r79) has fixed these crashes, as I can't reproduce any of these test cases. Hallelujah! Closing...

*sigh* Still getting these (I was wrong thinking that the new Flash plugin fixed the problem), and with the same stack trace as before. Using Camino Build ID: 2003030508, Flash plugin 6.0 r 79.

I'm seeing this too. I had to turn flash off (I compressed the plug-in). I sent in several talkback reports of this issue. I am using the latest beta of Flash and 20030312008 of Camino

That stack looks completely different.
WFM in today's Camino build although I can't check my Flash version in about:plugins.
seeksci.com testcase WFM Camino 2003051604 Flash 6.0 r79 weather.ca testcase isn't around anymore (homepage doesn't have flash and final destination returns a "we redesigned" page) Is anyone that reported these crashes earlier still seeing them?
resolving WFM based on multiple reports and no reports to the contrary
