When trying to open the Preference menu mozilla blocks forever
Other functionnalities seem ok, other menu items do not block 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run mozilla
2. select Edit -> Preferences 
3. keep cool

Actual Results:  
block

Expected Results:  
open the preferences menu or alter if something wrong in a data / configuration file

none

Thierry, could you try of deleting XUL.mfasl (when Mozilla isn't running) helps?

Then this is a dupe of bug 169777, which is fixed in 1.3b.

should be a dupe, please reopen if you get this again with a deleted XUL.mfasl
and mozilla 1.4b
