Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:133.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/133.0
Steps to reproduce:
Tested on Firefox Nightly 133.0a1.
Tested with Bitwarden extension.
- have Bitwarden extension installed and set up.
(Optional) disable AI chatbot under Firefox labs settings - does not affect outcome. - go to a website's login page (for which you have a password saved).
- press CTRL+SHIFT+L.
Actual results:
AI chatbot sidebar opens, no action from Bitwarden.
If the AI chatbot sidebar is disabled under the Firefox labs settings, it is re-enabled automatically when pressing the shortcut.
Expected results:
Bitwarden extension fills in login credentials that are linked in to the URL from password vault. Developer tools shortcut is overridden.
I don't think the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+L should be used by the AI chatbot sidebar because it is used by most password manager extensions for password autofill (Bitwarden, Dashlane, Lastpass, possibly others) and as so will require everybody who uses one to disable the sidebar.
