Steps to reproduce
- Open the app
- Wait a few hours/a day.
- Open the menu
Expected behavior
- Menu opens at the standard mid-height.
Actual behavior
- For a split second, it appears that the menu is opening at a non-standard (non-mid/max) height before readjusting to mid-height (correct height).

:aarjav, because you mention needing to wait a few hours/a day in your STR I can assume this is a result of the Android OS quietly killing our app in the background to free memory. I've attached two videos that show the effects of the menu being opened when the app is killed in the background. The first is when a user returns to the app after the menu was open and the app was killed in the background. This state seems to match your description the closest. The second video shows the effects of the menu being expanded when the app is killed in the background. Upon returning to the app this animates back to the smaller state.
This is an edge-case and does not hinder a user so I don't believe it is a blocker for the menu redesign.

This issue is no longer reproducible on Firefox Nightly 135 (2024-12-09) under Google Pixel 8 (Android 14) and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (Android 14). Confirming that the menu is correctly opened when opening the app after a day or more. Closing as WFM.
