User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:134.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/134.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. focus AwesomeBar
  2. press Option + Down/Option + Up

Actual results:

selected search engine does not change

Expected results:

the next search engine should be selected, if Option + Down, or the previous one should be selected, if Option + Up.

this used to be the behavior until the dedicated search button was introduced into Nightly.

(obviously this is a macOS bug report, but I'm pretty sure other operating systems have a similar keyboard shortcut.)

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Search' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

It should be possible to support this with the new button, so option/alt up/down opens the panel and moves through engines.
