Environment:
Operating system: Windows 10
Firefox version: Firefox 134.0

Preconditions:

  • ETP set to Standard or Strict

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to https://www.messenger.com/
  2. Enter login credentials
  3. Type captcha
  4. Browser opens the login page again
  5. Enter login credentials again
  6. Browser displays an error page that says:
This content isn't available right now
When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.
  7. The log-in is successful but there is no way to access the actual messenger page.

Expected Behavior:
Account page is displayed with no error message

Actual Behavior:
Error message displayed

Notes:

  • Reproduces in ETP Strict Mode and ETP Standard mode
  • Reproduces in firefox-nightly, and firefox-release
  • Does not reproduce in chrome
  • With ETP off, there is no redirect to the login page again after CAPTCHA is completed

Created from https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/144791

I cannot reproduce this issue by using https://www.messenger.com/ alone. I have to log in to facebook.com first and then www.messenger.com to reproduce this issue, and the issue sometimes doesn't repro.

The www.messenger.com can be used normally once the page is loaded again.

Severity: -- → S2

Can you please set a priority level to this bug? This is one of the most popular sites in the world, and most users won't try reloading the page. They'll just change browsers.
