don't give me any BS about "that's not correct behavior"
it is just as valid as anything else that made it into quirks mode (which is to
say, not at all, but quirks mode exists for a reason)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. load page
2. look at things in font "symbol" (first 3 letters in brackets, on page linked)
Actual Results:
appear as G, L, W.
Expected Results:
appear as Γ, Λ, Ω.
if you're going to be such jerks about this bug as you have been in the past,
you might as well scrap quirks mode entirely. because the argument i've seen
against this doubles as an argument against quirks mode as a whole.
filing as "normal" not "trivial", because this breaks not just the display of a
few greek letters but the entire concept of quirks mode. considered filing as
"major" but decided against it.
i'd expected entities to work in the text, but it seems you've decided to format
it as PRE.
Expected results should read: Γ, Λ, Ω.
...funny... i'd pasted those from charmap. oh well, you know the symbol mapping
as well as i. i guess mozilla itself posts things that bugzilla can't handle.
this is amusing, i suppose. sorry for the 'spam'
once again, if you refuse to fix this bug, you invalidate quirks mode as a concept.
