Note

  • No warning is displayed when downloading "an uncommon .zip: link".

Steps to reproduce

  1. Load test page:
    http://testsafebrowsing.appspot.com/
  2. Click 5th link from Desktop Downloads Warnings section.

Expected result

  • The download does not start immediately, but displays an error about the risk and asks for confirmation to allow download.

Actual result

  • The fine is immediately downloaded, no warning is displayed.

Regression range

  • This issue also occurs on the older Nightly v127.0a1 (aarch64).
  • This issue occurs in both Wayland and X11 Window Protocols.

Yes, I can confirm this. Thank you for the investigation! I have manged to test it on a non-ARM Ubuntu 22 myself. I can also confirm that it occurs for both Wayland and X11 window protocols. Than this appears to be an issue that is general to Ubuntu.

I changed the product and component to Firefox Downloads Panel, but it might not be the right component. Feel free to change if a more appropriate one is identified.
