Banner type:
Yellow alert

Purpose:
We're working with legal & Firefox iOS leads on a campaign to help us monitor browser choice for iOS users in the EU.

Overview: Following scrutiny of the first round of iOS choice screens, Apple is relaunching their iOS and iPadOS browser choice screens. We are calling on all EU-based Mozillians to help us monitor Apple’s new browser choice screens. Campaign participants can get involved by capturing screenshots of the choice screen experience when updating their iPhone/iPad to iOS 18.2. The update should begin rolling out in early December 2024.

Audience: This is relevant to anyone in the EU with an Apple device. The campaign will run from early December (when the new iOS system launches) through January 3rd. We would love to be able to isolate this banner to iOS users, i.e. here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/ios -- if not, we'll run the banner for a limited time (noted below).

Banner Content:
We're calling on all EU-based Mozillians with iOS or iPadOS devices to help us monitor Apple’s new browser choice screens. Join the effort to hold Big Tech to account! mzl.la/41ry3HC

Duration:
December 16-December 20

Target:
All users (Ideally UK users or iOS users)

Commenting as I made a copy edit to the proposed SUMO banner content.

Proposing a copy edit to make sure that the CTA reflected as a link:

@Smith Please be sure to use the shortened link. Thanks!

mzl.la/41ry3HC Is correct shortened link.

We can't do multiple locales like I thought (doh!) so turning on for everyone.

This is on now, scheduled to end 12/20.
