Preconditions

• Download the DLP test assets from https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yjqVRuxdKV3WnO7D2wzMgDXBuYBxUgVw/view
• Create a distribution folder inside the Firefox folder and paste the policies-2.json to it and then rename it to policies.json
• Run the DLP agent in CMD using: .\content_analysis_sdk_agent.exe --user --toblock=.\d{3}-?\d{2}-?\d{4}. --towarn=.warn. --delays=10

Tested platforms

• Affected platforms: Windows 10/11

Steps to reproduce

1. Open up a new tab and paste any text into the engine search bar under the Firefox logo on the page using right click - Paste option from the context menu
2. Observe the behavior

Expected result

• Firefox is not crashing

Actual result

• Firefox is crashing

• Mozregression points to bug 1915351

Additional notes

• Not reproducing if pasting the text using ctrl+V
• Also reproducing without the agent running
• Reproducing with the rest of the policies as well (except for policies-1.json)
• Also reproducing in about:logins, but not in about:addons, about:preferences, about:config

I can't reproduce this anymore. Since by default about pages are in the allow URL list, this is probably a duplicate of bug 1936225.

I can also confirm that I am no longer able to reproduce the crash on Firefox Nightly 135.0a1 (2024-12-12), using Windows 11.
