Saw this problem under Win98 as well but brushed it off as an OS problem. I have 2 IMAP accounts, and this problem is seen for both of them. Worked fine for a while, then suddenly overnight this appeared. All I can think is last night Mozilla, the Browser, crashed during a file transfer. Download manager still shows the file with a progress bar stuck at the % it left off as. Tried all sorts of things, but eventually had to uninstall/reinstall to get the problem to go away. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Delete the file "xul.mfl" in your mozilla-profile directory while mozilla is NOT running. (see the release notes for the path) and why do you don't look in : http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/duplicates.cgi before you report a bug ? and 1.2.1 is also older than 2 weeks and you can't report bugs for such an old build. this bug would be invalid if it would not be a dupe *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 169777 ***
