Steps to reproduce
- Launch Firefox.
- Navigate to about:preferences#search and remove a default app provided search engine.
- In a new tab, navigate to the home page of the removed search engine.
- Perform a few searches via contextual search and accept to add the engine.
- Go to about:preferences#search and observe the Search Shortcuts panel.
Expected result
- Search engine is restored to the Search Shortcuts panel.
Actual result
- Search engine is missing from the Search Shortcuts panel.

Feels like a P3 because it involves having to remove the engine to begin with and then have to choose to add it using contextual search. You could restore them using Restore Default Engines in search preferences.
