User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 There is no browsing mode for lowspeed (dialup) access for example using MyIE2 you can: turn-off all images without corrupting page layout, if want right-click on image placeholder and choose show image and only this image loaded, or you can click image button and page reloaded with images, you can enable/disable activeX plugins for current page/all pages. In Mozilla I want 1 Browsing without images but with correct image borders and alternate text 2 Right-click menu must load only this image without reloading/(open new) page 3 Browsing with disabled plugins (disable audio, flash, quicktime, winmedia, adobe...) but with content borders and alternate text 4 Right-click menu must enable plugin and download content only for this area Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Please search bugzilla before submitting a bug and only address one problem each time. Each one of those points are covered by bugs already existing in bugzilla, so the best future for this bug is to be marked dup or invalid.
Either that or make this a tracking bug and add those individual issues as dependencies in this bug.
Reporter: 1. should already work provided the web site specifies dimensions for all images, tables, and CSS used for layout. 2. is bug 47475 Need "Show Image" / "Reload Image" on context menu 3. is bug 189378 Pref to disable plugins in browser 4. is covered by comments in the two bugs I mentioned. I'd add 5. Have a way to change all these settings in one step (e.g. for a laptop that can be hooked up into the LAN at work or school or dial-up at home), which I'd almost consider the focus of this bug. Because this feature request doesn't seem to rely on any particular hardware configuration, I'm setting Hardware := All; OS := All
Depends on: 47475, 189378
OS: Windows XP → All
Hardware: PC → All

Browsing without images still do not work. So option "do not load any images" - senseless. Turn off images and go to http://www.tomshardware.com We see wrong page layout so we can not read headlines. IE-> OK. http://www.pornstaraction.com/ We do not see image borders and alttext so we can not right-click on image placeholder to load and view DESIRED image. IE -> OK. So browsing without images DO NOT WORK! Is this bug??? PLEASE do browsing without images: 1 Turn off images (may be from customized toolbar) 2 Load page with: CORRECT layout Image borders (it MUST exist for right-clicking, as i understand if IE can not determine image size it make default minimal square ~100x100mm -> so borders always exist for right-click) Image alt-text (it MUST exist, for desision view or not) 3 Right-click menu with option view image. And load ONLY DESIRED image WITHOUT open new or reload page.
I forget: my mozilla version is Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20030929 and i have new email address maxrem@front.ru
Now that bug 180620 is fixed things are slightly improved (alt text is now shown for not-loaded images).
At http://www.squarefree.com/userstyles/xbl.html there is nice plugin which i talking about it makes instead of playing flash - buttons with text "flash click to play" (works for object & embed). So you can download and view DESIRED content. This app omit one feature - in button text also MUST be path to swf file (if any).
