When replying to a message, with the setting in Message Display on plain text,
the original text is blue. It should be black. Setting color to correct black
in the Message Display window (preferences>mail&newsgroups>message display)
makes no change.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set Message Display to plain text.
2. Reply to existing message.
3. Quoted text is blue.
Actual Results:
Quoted plain text is blue.
Expected Results:
Quoted plain text should be black.

the color setting in the "message display" panel is (as the name suggests) for
how it displays quoted text in messages, NOT how it displays quoted text in your
replies (which would show up under "composition" if the pref existed).
by itself, this is invalid, but I'm going to assume what you really want is to
have the pref added...
dupe of "quoted text color is hard-coded, conflicts with dark color schemes"
