It should be black. Setting color to correct black in the Message Display window (preferences>mail&newsgroups>message display) makes no change. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set Message Display to plain text. 2. Reply to existing message. 3. Quoted text is blue. Actual Results: Quoted plain text is blue. Expected Results: Quoted plain text should be black.
the color setting in the "message display" panel is (as the name suggests) for how it displays quoted text in messages, NOT how it displays quoted text in your replies (which would show up under "composition" if the pref existed). by itself, this is invalid, but I'm going to assume what you really want is to have the pref added... dupe of "quoted text color is hard-coded, conflicts with dark color schemes" see also bug 175346 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 152144 ***
