it probably is the case that the file that is being installed already exists and
it busy for some reason. Can you try a clean installation?

occurs with three test cases
signed.xpi
signed-norsa.xpi
signed-badca.xpi
the rest of testcases report 'signing could not be verified'
Downloaded new machO build for 2/18- am getting mixed results.
sometimes the response for these three testcases is cancelled- sometimes restart
I rebooted - started new launch and still get this error
what file can be busy? isn't this using smartupdt.txt?

removing smrtupdt.txt after running each test allows the next test to run
successfully. restarting does not allow next test to run successfully- reboot
does :(
what makes this OS differ from Win32 or RH Linux?

Sean,
I am not seeing this on 3/31/ builds, all signed xpi tests but one are passing
as expected except for one in bug 198244.
These results may result from the fixes you have made to XPInstall on Mac OS X
