Details
Chimera 0.6.
STEPS:
drag image from web page to iPhoto window.
EXPECTED:
iPhoto will accept the dropped wireframe and import the file.
OBSERVED:
iPhoto does not accept the image, it "bounce" back.
(I did a dupe check, in both "Browser" and "Chimera" for "iPhoto" before filing
+ glanced at the open d&d bugs. sorry in advance if this is some kind of dupe.
I did play with dragging to the desktop, and did experince some of the known
crashing problems.

Can you drag image into iPhoto from any other app?
it works from mail.app. I'll try IE and mozilla and get back to you.

Same behaviour in recent builds, but then iPhoto doesn't allow images to be
dragged from Safari or Internet Explorer either.
I'm not sure I can really see the use case for wanting to drag photos from your
browser to iPhoto. Surely the photos for which you own copyright (and might
therefore reasonably keep in iPhoto) start in iPhoto and get moved to your web
pages, not the other way around?

It seems that almost every app can't do this and we shouldn't break that. The
alternative would be an "Add image to iPhoto" option, but that's another bug.
I'm sure iPhoto wants a "real live image" that's saved to disk in a proper file
rather than some screen representation that's linked obliquely to a cache
reference (that's why it works in Mail.app, since the attachment is already
saved locally as a regular file).
As it stands, INVALID. An enhancement is another bug :-)
