The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Menus' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Please can you check the browser console for any errors when you open the context menu.
Also please try restarting Firefox, and see if there's any errors on the console at startup, and if the issue persists or not.

When right-clicking, no new lines are logged to the browser console, tested on various sites. After restarting my PC, I can no longer produce this bug. Apologies, I thought it was worth filing since menu errors were not occurring outside of Firefox.
I'm seeing the same thing on:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:136.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/136.0
Browser console logs this when opening context menu:
19:41:25.352 Uncaught TypeError: can't access property "contentWindow", window.gBrowser.selectedBrowser is undefined
init resource:///modules/GenAI.sys.mjs:343
init resource:///modules/GenAI.sys.mjs:342
<anonymous> resource:///modules/GenAI.sys.mjs:1036
task resource:///modules/BrowserGlue.sys.mjs:3156
_scheduleStartupIdleTasks resource:///modules/BrowserGlue.sys.mjs:3258
GenAI.sys.mjs:343:23
and this when closing it:
19:41:25.712 Uncaught TypeError: can't access property "hiding", gContextMenu is null
<anonymous> chrome://browser/content/browser-context.js:339
browser-context.js:339:7

I am seeing slight different results but I believe there is the same root cause. All Firefox menus (context menus on pages, menus in the menu bar, context menus for bookmarks, the "hamburger" menu, the extension button menu, etc.) are invisble. They are still interactable -- clicking where a menu item would be shown does in fact work -- but nothing can be seen at all. No errors in the console.

Slight correction: The context menu for bookmarks does work sometimes. If I open a blank tab (about:blank) and left click in the window, right clicking a bookmark will work. Right clicking anywhere else does not.
I also checked and running Firefox as Administrator had no effect. I thought this started when upgrading from v133, but downgrading to that version did not have any effect either.

Does bug 1940533 comment 15 help you here?

Ah, yes it does! In that context, worth noting I was never on 135beta and it happened prior to downgrading 134 -> 133 (this was my first time trying a downgrade).
