We have a very small number (0.017%) of rows in the metrics table for iOS where we have the same client_id an seq but a different document_id.

See this query.

This ticket is to document this observation in case we'd like to investigate, but it's not affecting any analysis.

I think this is essentially a dupe of bug 1866097?
I noticed the same last year, but due to the low number of occurences I didn't bother looking much more into it.
