User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030219 Phoenix/0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030219 Phoenix/0.5 When you mid-click a link, e.g. on www.heise.de, or use the "Open Link in New Tab" right-click menu a new tab opens which is empty (about:blank) and closing this tab closes the first tab (sometimes cannot be closed at all and first tab is also not closed). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.heise.de 2. Mid-click or select "Open Link in New Tab" for any news article 3. New tab (Untitled) opens, focus is still on first tab 4a.Change to (Untitled) tab 4b.Alternatively: Stay on first tab 5. Press close button 6a.First tab is closed, (Untitled) tab stays 6b.Alternatively: (Untitled) tab is closed 7b.Mid-click the same (or any other) link again 8b.Two new tabs open up Actual Results: Empty tab is opened, closing it closes first tab instead. Other way round, closing the first tab closes the new (empty) one. Expected Results: New tab should load selected link. I searched all bugs of the last two days (because I think it is new in the 20030219 build) relating to "tab" but couldn't find a duplicate, so don't hit me if it is a duplicate.
Another point relating to step 5. Do not close any tab and mid-click the same link, this opens another new tab and loads the link correctly it that one.
This is a regression in the latest nightlies. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 194099 ***
