beta Uplift Approval Request

  • User impact if declined: Firefox being installed by default on a new arm64 product released by a vendor
  • Code covered by automated testing: yes
  • Fix verified in Nightly: no
  • Needs manual QE test: no
  • Steps to reproduce for manual QE testing: N/A
  • Risk associated with taking this patch: Builds will be QA tested once they are available on mozilla-beta. Could break update verify (only for linux/arm64) once it lands on release (for the first release with linux/arm64)
  • Explanation of risk level: Startup tests will be added next, to expedite the builds we are relying on manual QA testing
  • String changes made/needed: N/A
  • Is Android affected?: no

:gabriel adding a NI for later follow-up on the next step here in terms of 136?
If it needs any fix, or if needs a later uplift instead?

I didn't know bouncer checks ran in a cron.
I think... we might need to back this out on central and land it after the first esr140

Sounds right.
