Click on this link https://www.theverge.com/news/603432/google-voluntary-exit-platforms-devices-team#:~:text=Google%20recorded%20its%20highest%2Dever%20quarterly%20sales%20volume%20for%20smartphones%20in%20Q3%202024 and observe that the text is only highlighted very briefly and then unhighlights itself. Do the same in Chrome and the text fragment remains highlighted as expected/intended.

Will, at first, it didn't unhighlight itself for me, per my attachment. Then, after about 5 tries, it began to, per youtu.be/T_lyOzSvF28. I have noticed this sporadically at other HTTPS: URIs, too (but never at file: URIs).
