Firefox for Android

Steps to reproduce:

The Firefox browser on Android, settings except accounts and default search engine keeps on resetting to defaults after a new version update.

Actual results:

The latest Firefox update (135.0) for Android has reset some of my settings. This is a huge annoyance. I had to check every single setting because I wasn't sure which ones were reset. The browser is behaving like it just got installed. Themes were completely ruined. My homepage had sponsored ads added back in. It also added random shortcuts that I specifically deleted in the first place. My privacy settings were also reset. Autofill settings that I turned off were turned on. Always-on HTTPS was turned off. This is happening for the 2nd time in a row after each new updates. My custom search engine and accounts were the only things that didn't change. My device is Redmi Note 8, Android 11, MIUI 12.5. Please do something about this. Upon checking Playstore, there are a couple of reviews stating this exact issue. I love Firefox but this is such an annoying bug.

Expected results:

It should keep the user defined settings instead of resetting to defaults.

Hi, I've been having this same issue for a while now. I want to say it started only this year in 2025. It's never done this before. I don't remember it happening at all last year. Every time Firefox for mobile gets a new update, it resets my custom settings and configurations back to the standard Firefox defaults. It's annoying because then I have to go back in the settings and change everything back to the way I like it. I reported this on the Google Playstore. I was told to go to some support site that didn't even have a solution for this issue. So I asked Gemini where to get help possibly and here I am. I have a Samsung Galaxy A21 Android phone and I'm using the latest Firefox for mobile app for Android which is version 137.0.2
Any ideas as to why this keeps happening and how to prevent it in the future? Thanks in advance! (Btw, this happened again recently this month in April)
