If I use the key "back space" when composing a new mail, the blinking cursor
moves to the front of the current line. Nevertheless, new characters appear
where they should and the blinking cursor gets right then.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open new compose mail window
2. enter text field
3. type some text
4. press "back space"


Actual Results:  
cursor blinks at the front of the current line

Expected Results:  
Leave cursor where it was: At the current position of the current line.

It is a bit confusing when composing new mails, therefore I chose bug severity
as normal. Could be less if you think.

Confirmed for Windows ME with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US;
rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030224.

I want to add that not only does the blinking cursor jump to the beginning of
the line but also if I have th following line:

sd3kl43kj43jlkj4 hasssr|

and I delete the last r using backspace, the cursor jumps not to the beginning
of the line but in between the s, like this ss|s.

If you go on extending that line by typing some nonsense and then deleting it
using backspace, the blinking cursor is always one before the last letter and
next to it on the right the deleted letter is displayed. The latter that
actually should now be the last is not displayed and lost when typing something new.

now typing an d (or some other letter) results in

sd3kl43kj43jlkj4 hasssrhkdsjhfjd|

using backspace again then gives sd3kl43kj43jlkj4 hasssrhkdsjhf|j

and so on.
