This has multiple videos you can test. Anything under HEVC main 10 seems to do it. The SDR stuff only does it full-screen usually, the HDR stuff does it all the time which is to be expected (lack of HDR support and so forth).

I mainly notice it when playing anything HEVC main10 on Plex. IDK if it is cause the browser reports it support main10 or what, but Plex doesn't seem to want to or try to transcode it or do any HDR to SDR tone mapping.

Colors are washed out with media.hevc.enabled on. Turning it off resolves the issue.

This isn't for the website you linked in comment 4, right? If you disable the pref, HEVC support is removed entirely, and all videos on that page will become unsupported. I believe for the website where you reproduced the issue, disabling HEVC support forces it to use a different codec instead.

Jeff, do you know the status of HDR support? Do we have that on Windows yet? Thanks!

Flags: needinfo?(jmuizelaar)

We support HDR on macOS not on Windows.

The component has been changed since the backlog priority was decided, so we're resetting it.
