Steps to reproduce:

Went on Windows desktop Firefox.
Hit the hamburger options button, then Profile (under "My Name"), then hit "Sync Now"
Nothing happened.
Went on Android Firefox - "..." button, then "My name", then "Sync now"

Actual results:

The "Syncing now" icons spun, on both devices, but nothing changed, and the current list of active tabs did not appear/update as options.

Expected results:

The active browser tabs on both devices should have been available already as options to select from - before needing to hit "sync". If not that, then they should have appeared quickly.

Most recent error sync log, from the evening of the previous day, before I tried syncing today.

The error log is showing a transient error syncing, but also shows desktop is successfully writing tabs etc. I suspect the problem is on the Android side - there are a few similar reports we are still trying to get to the bottom of.

I've also just today run into problems with Firefox Sync on Android (iodéOS with iodé Browser 136.0 which is a rebranded Firefox). It’s working fine on my Linux PC. Don’t have any other connected devices at hand to check those.

On my phone, going to the tabs → synchronised tabs and pressing the Sync button, it just says Synchronising… though the icon is static. Nothing happens and the list remains blank. If I go into the Account Settings and press ‘Synchronise now’, again the icon doesn’t turn, nothing happens. On that page it was showing the last sync as two days ago.

I tried signing out of my mozilla account on the phone and back in. The account setup is all as it should be but now the options for what to synchronise are all greyed out and cannot be selected/unselected. Last sync now shows as Never.

I tried following the instructions for saving a sync log on this page, but the addon doesn't show up in the available extensions on the phone. I was able to send the addon URL from Firefox on the PC to the phone, which proves sync does work in some form, but it's not possible to install the extension on the phone, presumably it's incompatible.
