(Whiteboard: [fxdroid][group4])
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:136.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/136.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Download and install "PocketBook Reader" by "Pocketbook International SA" through the Google Playstore.
- Open PocketBook at least once.
- open Firefox
(Next steps are my specific steps, any epub download should do) - go to " https://www.zamzar.com/convert/md-to-epub "
- convert any .md file
- download the .epub file and try to open it through the Firefox popup
Actual results:
It says "no App found that can open epub-files" (rough translation from German).
If I have another app installed that can open .epub files (e.g. T2S: Text to Voice/Read Aloud), it opens that.
Expected results:
It offers me the choice of which app to use, including pocketbook or opens pocketbook if no other app is available.
Additional Information:
The earliest and only other mention of this, I found, is here:

Report, do you still reproduce this on the latest version of Firefox Android? We have changed some MIME type detection for epub MIME type due to bug 1906039 and bug 1947084.

Hey,
I can reproduce that but I get the same behavior with another browser or even a file manager. It is a bug on PocketBook Reader itself, that doesn't seem to expose an intent filter for epub files.
I'll close this bug as invalid.
