When pasting text into an e-mail message body on Outlook.com, Firefox erroneously removes white-space preceding the insertion point.

Will be fixed in bug 1951832 (nightly and early beta) and bug 1658699 (late beta and release) completely. However, I'll try to check whether we can fix this in current nightly to ship a fix for this as soon as possible.
The pasting is completely handled by Outlook itself with a paste event listener. I think they treat ASCII white-space before the padding <br> is also invisible and delete it when inserting the pasted content. So, we can do nothing for now. After enabling the new white-space normalizer, it'll insert an NBSP for the last character of each Text node so that it won't be considered as invisible.

I confirmed that this works as expected, with the preference editor.white_space_normalization.blink_compatible enabled.
The issue has been fixed.
Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 139.0a1 (2025-04-22)
Operating System: Windows 10
