Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to settings
  2. Click on translations (under General)
  3. Click on Download languages
  4. Download any language
  5. Delete the language
  6. Click on the back button in the top app bar

Expected behavior

We navigate back to the previous setting screen

Actual behavior

The first tap of the back button does not navigate back. The user needs to tap it again for the navigation to happen. Additionally, the back arrow becomes in a "hover" state permanently after this interaction

Device information

  • Firefox version: 138
  • Android device model: Samsung A35
  • Android OS version: Android 14

Thanks for reporting! I have some context here. Definitely related to the workaround that happened in bug 1900152. Bug 1905352 is the follow-up to fix this.

I don't think this is quite a duplicate, since the focus of the report is different, but they will likely be solved at the same time. I'll put this one as blocked by Bug 1905352.
