RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1958036

Details

Steps to reproduce:

Attempted to play a video file. I tried YouTube, Nebula, and directly playing video files, both from the web and from my local disc.

This problem appeared to be independent of the source of the video, the codec, and whether the video was in a custom player, or using the native Firefox player.

Actual results:

The video file did not play.

The embedded YouTube and Nebula players just displayed a loading spinner and never played the video at all.

The native video player (shown for directly loaded video files) just displayed a black screen and didn't respond to the controls (the play button changed to a pause button, but the video did not play). The loading spinner in the tab never went away either.

For the avoidance of doubt, no audio played either.

Expected results:

The video file should have played in the normal manner.
