Steps to reproduce
- Open multiple tabs.
- Make sure the tabs tray view is grid.
- Try closing them by swiping from the tabs tray.
Expected behavior
The tabs are closed successfully by a simple swipe.
Actual behavior
The swipe gesture must be done several times in order for the tab to close - please see the short video attached.
Device information
- Firefox version: 137.0, Beta 138.0b4, Nightly 139.0a1
- Android device: Vivo V23 (Android 14)

This bug is probably a regression from bug 1904906's fix in 136 to make tabs harder to close accidentally.
