Details

When logging in to sso.mozilla.org via Auth0, I sometimes, but not always, get a message telling me that “This browser does not support the use of security keys”.

This doesn't always happen, and either “Show other options”, then choosing security key again, or a simple refresh of the page seem to solve the problem.

This is on 139 Nightly, but has been happening on previous versions too.

ArchLinux x86_64 using upstream binary builds.

Perhaps John Schanck would be the right person to investigate this?

I haven't been able to reproduce this myself. My best guess is that the request to use a security key is being made before the document has focus. We should probably show a tab modal consent prompt informing the user that the site wants to use a security key in this case.
