Did you try to reproduce with --verify? There likely won't be very many occurrences because it'll only run when the test changes.

Yeah I tried it with no success :/

I could get some other intermittent failures (never caught them on CI so far) if I reduce my CPU speed in addition to using --verify, but not the leak yet.

Because it's a tool that will mainly be used by our developers, I don't want to spend too much time on that for now. But if it shows being a real problem in the future (for example it could also show up without the chaos mode sometimes?) I'd be glad to investigate more.
