Expected Behavior:
The animation is smooth

Actual Behavior:
Performance issues

Notes:

• Reproduces regardless of the status of ETP
• Reproduces in firefox-nightly, and firefox-release
• Does not reproduce in chrome

The main page has performance issues in both Chrome and Firefox. The WebGPU demo does appear to perform better on Chrome, so filing this there.
