Details
(Whiteboard: [support])
Steps to reproduce:
- Access a shared mailbox configured using Dovecot ACLs.
- Attempt to delete a folder or an email within the shared mailbox.
Actual results:
The deletion failed, and an error message similar to "[CANNOT] Renaming not supported across non-private namespaces" was displayed. The item was not deleted or moved to any trash folder within the shared mailbox or the user's personal trash.
Expected results:
The item should have been successfully deleted or moved to a designated trash folder, ideally one located within the shared mailbox's namespace if such a feature is supported and configured on the server for ACL shared mailboxes, without generating an error.

Seems more like this message (which is coming from the server) says it will not allow that. Not much for Thunderbird to do then.

Silvan, can you please check if the theory from Magnus is correct?
It sounds like your server doesn't allow you to perform that operation, in which case it isn't a bug in Thunderbird.
