This is a spin-off from a webcompat bug 1941883. This is to handle the 2 reduced testcases we found with caret handling; they may also want to be made into WPTs. The reduced testcases are on bug 1941883

The original site has updated and no longer hits these.

Hi Randell , thanks for this spin-off bug. I don't quite understand why we still the webcompat:* keywords labelled here though, given the site issue is no longer there. Care to elaborate? Thank you.
