Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:138.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/138.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Play a video on youtube.com or any site on Firefox for Android while traveling.
  2. Now when one reaches area with no network, wait for video to buffer.
  3. While video is buffering, try to pause or mute the video, maybe you because you reached destination and it to pause it temporarily.

Actual results:

There is no way for one to pause the video. You can kill the app or mute the phone itself.
In case, one leaves app open(or closed foreground but open in background), the video will suddenly play once you reach area with network, while phone is not in use.

Expected results:

A way to pause video should always be there, regardless of buffering.
If it's not possible to pause video when there's no network, then browser should provide a fake pause button that will tell website to pause once buffering is done.
