The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Tabbed Browser' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hello, thank you for the bug report!
Unfortunately I could not reproduce your issue. Would you be so kind as to answer a few questions so we can investigate this further?
- Could you provide a link where you’ve encountered this issue?
- Does this issue happen with a new profile? Here is a link on how to create one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles
- Does this issue happen with latest nightly? Here is a link from where you can download it: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/
- Does this issue happen when Firefox is in Troubleshoot Mode? Here’s a link on how to enable it: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-troubleshoot-mode

Hi Vrangr_boi, did you load web pages in all 10 of the tabs? In some cases, we intentionally do not save "empty" tabs (like new tabs or other tabs with no content) in tab groups.
Did you put your laptop to sleep very quickly (less than 15 seconds) after adding the tabs to your tab group?
Thank for you attaching the additional logs + configuration information. It looks like you have the Simple Tab Groups add-on. Do you know whether you created this tab group using Firefox's built-in tab groups feature or Simple Tab Groups' tab groups feature? It's possible that there are bugs with how Simple Tab Groups behaves with Firefox's new tab groups, but we would need to learn more in order to figure out whether a fix is required in Firefox, add-ons, or both.

No, none of these were used by me. I tried using troubleshoot mode to see if the bug will go away. However, I'm not sure, but after exiting troubleshooting mode, it began to reappear and all of the tabs in the grouped tabs disappeared. I have no idea what took place. This is a significant problem. The sooner it gets fixed, the better. I'm prepared to assist you in reproducing it. However, it appears that the bugs have disappeared after I reset my Firefox. I can't make it happen again. I discovered a similar issue with Microsoft Edge as well.

Hello Stephen,
Thank you for your questions. To answer them:
-
Yes, all the tabs in the group had important webpages loaded. There were more than 10 tabs in the group, and none of them were empty new tabs. -
I use Firefox on a daily basis, and while I sometimes put my laptop to sleep shortly after adding a tab to an existing group, it's not always immediately (within 15 seconds). -
I created these tab groups using Firefox's built-in tab group feature. I had used the Simple Tab Groups extension in the past but stopped using it after Firefox introduced its own tab grouping feature. At the time this bug started occurring, I did not have the Simple Tab Groups extension active or installed.
I hope this information helps in your investigation.

I can see two potential issues here, even though I am still unable to reproduce the bug.
- There is an add-on that you have installed that might cause the issue. Do you still have the Simple Tab Groups extension installed? Uninstall it and see if that resolves the issue.
- The other issue might be the fact that you don't wait the 15 seconds for the pages to fully load and that why they are not saved correctly. Do the same thing, but wait for the pages to load. Also make sure that the pages you try to add have content or they are not just an add page that runs and only after that it redirects to the link you are trying to open. Or do you open some files from your computer?

I think it must be due to simple tab. After disabling it everything is fine now.

It might be worth letting the add on author for Simple Tab know here: https://github.com/drive4ik/simple-tab-groups
Closing for now, unless the add on author comes back to us if its an issue with Firefox. Thanks!
