User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:138.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/138.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Start downloading a file in Firefox for Android (Fenix).
- Observe the download progress notification in the device’s notification shade.
- Open the downloads menu in the app while the file is still downloading.
Actual results:
- The notification only shows a progress bar and a percentage, but does not display the current download speed, the total file size, or the amount downloaded so far.
- The downloads menu does not show in-progress downloads at all. They only appear once the download has finished.
Expected results:
- The download notification should display real-time details such as amount downloaded, and total file size.
- The downloads menu should list in-progress downloads and show their current progress and relevant details, similar to the expected behavior for the notification, while they are still downloading.
- Both features could also be further enhanced by showing the current download speed (similar to Firefox Desktop).
If the team agrees this would be a useful enhancement, I’d be happy to work on implementing it myself.

Hi, thanks for filing this enhancement! The system notification enhancements are actually already done in Bug 1956580, Bug 1956577.
The in progress downloads on the downloads screen is being worked on right now in Bug 1812790
