User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Went to Monster.ca. Two screens in "filed" a bookmark. Browser accepted bookmark but then the page hung. Killed Moz with CTRL-ALT-DEL and restarted. Monster.ca... bookmark was not in Bookmarks file. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Reloaded V1.2 and problem does not occur with this version
A crash is not the same as a hang. What is this bug about, the fact that Mozilla hung, or the fact the bookmark wasn't there after you restarted?

Summary: Browser crashes after entering bookmark -1.3b → Browser hangs after entering bookmark -1.3b
Looking at the summary and the description I assume: You installed mozilla 1.3b on a win98 system. If you did that, hangs are normal on some sites, and can be ended only by killing mozilla. If you kill mozilla, prefs and bookmarks don´t get updated, so your new bookmarks were lost. DUPE of Bug 192294 hangs at various URLs (Windows 9x-specific) was fixed with Build ID 2003021304 I recommend waiting for 1.3 or testing 1.3 Release Candidate http://www.mozillazine.org/articles/article2963.html http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/2003-03-10-17-1.3/mozilla-win32-installer-sea.exe
