Steps to reproduce:

Search for something in firefox search bar with Gboard as keyboard.
Get to google search results page.
Try to add further keywords to search box after adding a space OR try to delete a word with backspace.

Actual results:

Instead of adding a space, the word(s) before the cursor gets deleted.
Instead of backspace deleting the letter before the cursor, it deletes the space before the word.

Expected results:

Add a space after the last word with spacebar. Deleted the last letter with backspace.

Moving to browser engine, as this is to do with the Google search web page, not the search engine interfaces within the UI.

I got the same issue with both google and duckduckgo, also using Gboard, Android 15, Xiaomi 13T, HyperOS 2.0.3.0

I have the same problem, also using gboard. It's not just on Google, but any site using an editable input. Here's a demonstration on a different site.
