Steps to reproduce:

  1. open www.youtube.com on android
  2. browse through some youtube videos
  3. press navigation button back

Mozilla/5.0 (Android 16; Mobile; rv:139.0) Gecko/139.0 Firefox/139.0

Actual results:

instead of going back to the last watched video firefox goes back to the youtube startpage

Expected results:

go back to the last watched video

I was able to somehow reproduce the issue.
Browsing through 3 random videos, and tapping back, takes me to video 1, instead of video 2.
Tested with Google Pixel 6 (Android 16), and with Xiaomi Mi8 Lite (Android 10).

Reproducible only on Firefox for Android 140.0, not on Beta 141.0b1, nor on Nightly 142.0a1 from 6/24.

It takes me always back to the youtube startpage.

Cheers Titouan, I'm still seeing this bug on my Nothing 2A, Android 15, Fenix 141.0b9. No extensions enabled and I'm experiencing this on my test device, fresh install of Firefox beta from the play store.

as you can see, i browsed through 3 videos and on the last i pressed the back button which brings me direct back to the youtube startpage. i would expect to go back to video 2.

im using a pixel 9 with android 16. the same bug occurs on samsung s21fe with android 14.
